A review on nonlinear energy sinks: designs, analysis and applications of impact and rotary types

Abstract Dynamical and structural systems are susceptible to sudden excitations loadings such as wind gusts, blasts, earthquakes, others which may cause destructive vibration amplitudes lead catastrophic impact on human lives economy. Therefore, various absorbers of linear nonlinear coupling dynamics have been widely studied in plenty publications where some applied real-world practical applications.
